SQUEEZING SOUNDS OUT OF LIGHT – part II (2012) [live performance]

SQUEEZING SOUNDS OUT OF LIGHT–– Ph. Ramona Zordini, DIDstudio di Ariella Vidach/AIEP, Fabbrica del Vapore, Milano, IT.

In this performance, part of a project called “Squeezing Sounds Out of Light”, I used a hybrid electronic system composed by handmade devices and electronic instruments (like the “agofono” or the “optical glove”), computer, Arduino, light controllers, camera flash, desk and pocket lamps,  in order to create a continuous and self-modulating feedback process between sound and light (sound controls light that controls sound and so on), with which I just interfere.

I designed this performance for a show at Primary, in Nottingham, during the Disorder day organized by BJCEM in the context of WEYA.

Below you can find some photos of the performance by Roberto Sartor and Laura Arlotti.
